Itinerary
Day 1 • Georgetown
Arrival Welcome to Georgetown, Guyana! You’ll arrive in Georgetown, Guyana’s vibrant capital, where you’ll be met by a friendly face at the Cheddi Jagan International Airport (CJIA) and transferred to your comfortable hotel in the heart of the city. If you arrive early, maybe head to a local bar and enjoy the views of the city with a cocktail. Your adventure officially begins with a welcome meeting at 6 pm tonight. After, why not head out to dinner with your new travel companions and get to know the local cuisine.
Day 2 • Georgetown
Georgetown city tour Enjoy a guided exploration combining short walks and vehicle transfers for comfort. Learn the stories, legends, and facts behind Georgetown’s landmarks while experiencing its markets, museums, and daily rhythms. Along the way, sample local treats, and browse authentic Guyanese handicrafts. There will be a welcome dinner at 7 pm.
Day 3 • Essequibo & Mazaruni
Essequibo & Mazaruni Adventure The tour departs from hotel. Journey along the Essequibo River. Visit Fort Zeelandia, built in 1744. Take a guided walking tour of Bartica. Journey into the Mazaruni River to view the remains Kyk-Over-Al. Relax at Whitewater Falls. Return journey to Parika and Georgetown.

Day 5 • Kaieteur & Orinduik Falls
Kaieteur & Orinduik Falls Tour departs from Georgetown hotel. Flight departs from Eugene F. Correia International Airport. Explore Kaieteur Falls — the world’s largest single-drop waterfall by volume, a dramatic 741-foot free fall, five times the height of Niagara Falls. Discover rare plants and wildlife found nowhere else on Earth, including the Golden Rocket Frog in its natural bromeliad habitat. Visit Orinduik Falls’ jasper terraces, perfect for swimming and relaxation amidst rolling savannah landscapes along the Guyana–Brazil border.
Day 6 • Linden
Linden Visit Christianburg, Linden’s earliest settlement. See the historic waterwheel from Guyana’s only hydro-powered sawmill and enjoy panoramic views from towering bauxite mine pits. Relax at natural springs and refreshing swimming spots. Enjoy a traditional Guyanese breakfast and lunch. Tour the Linden Museum of Socio-Cultural Heritage and see rare all-aluminum homes, relics of a bygone era.
Day 7 • Mahaica River
Mahaica River & National Bird One of the most rewarding coastal experiences in Guyana is a visit to the Mahaica River, home to the country’s national bird—the remarkable Hoatzin. This early-morning river excursion offers intimate wildlife encounters, peaceful scenery, and a deeper appreciation of Guyana’s unique biodiversity.

Important notes
- A complimentary airport arrival transfer is included; valid if you are arriving on Day 1 or if you have booked pre-tour accommodation through us. You must provide your flight details to your booking agent at least 14 days prior to travel.
- A single supplement is available if you’d prefer not to share a room on this trip. The single supplement applies to all nights of your trip and is subject to availability. Please speak to your booking agent for further information.
- This trip includes domestic flights. The luggage allowance is generally 15kg for check-in luggage and 5kg for carry-on (please confirm exact limits with your agent prior to departure).
- Full name exactly as per passport is required at the time of booking (including any middle names listed on the passport), for activity and transport bookings. Ticketing fees may apply for amendments to details within 45 days of departure, and in some cases, you will be required to cover the cost of issuing a new ticket.
- We highly recommend you take US Dollars with you to Guyana and change it locally. While ATMs are available in major areas like Georgetown, there may be daily limits for withdrawals, and cash is often preferred in remote locations.
